When I called to inform them that I would not be signing the form they faxed over, they told me to call back and ask for "John."
When I did, the person who answered stunned me with his rudeness and deceit. "Who are you?" "You can't speak with John." "He's at lunch." "Oh, they told you he'd be back from lunch by now? Then... he's in a meeting."
I was so taken by surprise, I informed him I'd call right back. I was so confused. But then decided that the only thing to do would be to call back and try to ask for "John" once more. This time, I was promptly transferred... to someone who sounded exactly like the person I just talked to! And this time, he introduced himself as "John" in a lower calmer voice, but still the same voice.
He listened to my first few sentences, then interrupted me, and loudly spoke over me when I asked "May I finish?" Then, he didn't exactly scream, but he hollered loudly for 45 seconds, called me a liar, and then promptly hung up on me.
If the employees of this company lack decency and uprightness when dealing with customers over the phone, how can people trust them to transport their cars across country safely? They can't. Please be careful when dealing with this company. 35b459e

| 1. Written by just some info act fast - dead on March 24, 2010 Fox 5's Arnold Diaz has been reporting on a Long Island automobile transport broker for more than two years. Bayville-based A Blue Knight Auto Carrier has used many names, including A Eastern Connection. Now in a major development, New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has announced his office has obtained a consent order and judgment against the company, owned by Marguerite Cermola and Gregory Sclafani. "Hundreds of consumers entrusted their vehicles to this company for safe transport, but the business repeatedly delivered little more than fraud and deception," Cuomo said. "My office will continue to hold companies accountable for dishonest business practices." The consent order and judgment requires Cermola and Sclafani to pay $60,000 in restitution and $65,000 in penalties and costs to the state, Cuomo's office said. They also must put aside $50,000 for restitution for consumers who come forward in the future. NOTE: Consumers who believe they were defrauded by A Blue Knight Auto Carrier, A Eastern Connection, Autotrail Transporters, or V&C Warehousing and Distribution have until March 30, 2010, to file a complaint with the attorney general's office in order to be considered for restitution. To file a complaint you can contact Cuomo's Nassau County regional office at 516-248-3302 or his Suffolk County regional office at 631-231-2401. |
| 2. Written by Nel-Kef Transport (Kerie Keffe on August 29, 2009 This company now uses A-Blue Knight Auto Carrier inc. as their primary business name. They used to use Autotrail until the reputation got so bad they changed to A Eastern Connection, now Blue Knight. They still do the same things reported on this site. They haven't paid me $650 they owe me for delivering a 2002 Chevy suburban from TX to WA State August 1st, 2009. The best advice I can give customers who have been burned is to 1) Go to FMCSA web site - get A-Blue Knight Auto carrier Inc.'s bond/trust info and file to collect from the insurance they are required to carry. 2) Contact Mr. Adam Levin, Consumer Frauds Representative, State of New York Office of the Attorney General, Nassau Regional Office, 200 Old Country Road, Suite 460, Mineola, NY 11501-4241, with your info. 3) Post a review on as many web sites you can find (But do be honest!) Transportreviews.com, Complaintsboard.com, Ripoffreport.com, etc. Hopefully others will look for info on the web before they get burned like we did. |
